Welcoming Bruce Leeke as Chief Executive of Ormiston Families 

Ormiston Trust is delighted to welcome Bruce Leeke as the new Chief Executive of Ormiston Families. 

Bruce joins Ormiston Families following a successful leadership career spanning the charity, membership and public sectors. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive of Suffolk Libraries, where he led the development of community-based wellbeing services and expanded support for local communities across the East of England. Prior to this, he held senior leadership roles at St John Ambulance and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. 

As Chief Executive, Bruce will lead Ormiston Families in its mission to support children, young people and families to thrive. The charity provides a wide range of services across the East of England, including support for children and young people’s mental health, families affected by imprisonment, bereavement services and early intervention programmes. 

Bruce has spoken passionately about the importance of early intervention, emotional wellbeing and ensuring families receive the support they need to build resilience and navigate challenges. He has emphasised that children's wellbeing is shaped by relationships, stability and the support available to families, reflecting the values that sit at the heart of Ormiston Families' work. 

Since taking up post, Bruce has already begun contributing to important conversations affecting children and families. In a recent response to new government guidance on children's screen time, he highlighted the need for practical support alongside policy interventions, drawing on the experiences of the thousands of families supported by Ormiston Families each year.
