Sophie leads on communications at Ormiston Trust, ensuring the Trust’s work reaches audiences through digital communications, storytelling and external engagement. Alongside this, she also coordinates the Trust’s Youth Advisory Council, helping to amplify young people’s voices across the organisation.

Her background is in marketing and communications within the charity and social action sectors, with a particular focus on human-centred storytelling and behaviour change campaigns. Prior to joining National Literacy Trust, Sophie worked on campaigns designed to shift attitudes towards reading and improve literacy engagement among children and young people. She also contributed to Our Minds Our Future, a national youth-led campaign advocating for a more human rights-centred approach to mental health care.

Outside of work, Sophie is training to become a meditation teacher and is passionate about wellbeing practices that support both mind and body. She also enjoys yoga and has developed a love of feminist retellings of Greek mythology, particularly books such as Circe and Ariadne.
