Caroline is a former headteacher and brings almost 30 years’ experience in education, spanning classroom teaching, school leadership, trust-level work, governance and charitable activity. An English teacher by background, she went on to hold numerous senior leadership roles including Vice Principal, Principal and Executive Principal. Her career has covered curriculum, attendance, behaviour, teaching and learning, wellbeing and leadership across six secondary schools, alongside work with local authorities, trusts, governance bodies and charities.

At Ormiston Trust, Caroline’s education background is especially relevant to sponsorship, governance assurance, school improvement, enrichment and the Trust’s commitment to widening opportunities for young people. As Chair of the Governance Committee and a member of the Grants & Impact Committee, she brings practitioner credibility, school-system knowledge and a clear understanding of what strong governance must enable in practice.
