Aneela brings significant educational leadership experience to the Trust, where she now oversees the delivery of all programme areas having initially joined the Trust as Programme Manager of the award winning #WeWill social action programme which created whole-school social action opportunities in over 50 schools.

Previously, she was Head of Professional Development and School Improvement at Beaconhouse Group, overseeing the professional development of more than 8,000 teachers and led school improvement systems across 200 schools in Pakistan, the UAE, Malaysia, Oman, the Philippines and Thailand. By designing and implementing a range of data analysis platforms, she helped identify priorities and deliver research-informed programmes for professional learning and school improvement.

Earlier in her career, she worked at a university in the UAE, teaching on the Bachelor of Education and Diploma for Teaching Assistants programmes through a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning. As Academic Coordinator, she also worked closely with stakeholders, including external universities and education ministries across the UAE, to support accreditation and align university programmes with sector requirements.

She also worked with Nord Anglia Education Services as an adviser, supporting school leadership teams to deliver, monitor and evaluate school improvement priorities in line with teaching and learning standards. In this role, she was responsible for deploying teams of advisers and Advanced Skills Teachers across school clusters to provide high-quality support and guidance, helping to strengthen teachers’ professional knowledge and practice.
