The Old Rep Theatre and Birmingham Ormiston Academy are putting on Alice in Wonderland for their annual Christmas production with performances running from Saturday 20th November- Friday 17th December.
This will be the sixth production that The Old Rep Theatre has produced alongside Birmingham Ormiston Academy and the production will feature a talented cast of 25 student performers from the academy.
This performance will be replacing the original planned production of Beauty and the Beast that was postponed from Christmas 2020. The production this year will follow the story of Alice, a curious young girl who follows a white rabbit down a rabbit hole to Wonderland and encounters strange and peculiar creatures along the way. The production will feature old and new songs by Steve Allen Jones and a brand-new script by Toby Hulse.
Michael Penn, the Executive Director of the Old Rep said “I cannot wait to hear the laughter, see the smiles and experience the joy that our Christmas productions bring to so many once again. We all need something magical at Christmas and Alice in Wonderland is sure to delight, amaze and entertain, so come and visit The Old Rep and enjoy live theatre once again!”
Both BOA and The Old Rep Theatre are excited to put on this production and it is set to be a spectacular experience to be enjoyed by students and families. Tickets for Alice in Wonderland are now on sale here and more information about the production is available here.
