A great group of people participated in sporting events to raise money for Ormiston Families over the past month.
First off, a group of eight runners took part in the London Marathon on October 3rd in aid of Ormiston Families. As of October 7th, they raised over £7,600 (excluding Gift Aid) for Ormiston Families! The eight runners celebrated this amazing achievement, only made possible through months of training and dedication to complete the 26.2 miles.
Naomi, a Practitioner for Ormiston Families’ YouCanBe service in Norfolk, said on the marathon:
“It was a privilege to run for Ormiston Families – working for them, I know funds raised go to supporting local people. My race was probably a reflection of some of our service users lives; I hit an unexpected blip halfway which threw my race on a different path, yet the support of those who had come to support me along with the knowledge of why I was doing it kept me going and got me over the finish line.”

Another fantastic team of 65 people took part in the Whole Hog Suffolk mud run in aid of Ormiston Families. As of October 11th, they raised £8,371.67 (excluding Gift Aid). The event involved going through various obstacles in Suffolk and was a fun challenge for all those involved! To see photos for the event visit the Ormiston Families Twitter page.
