Pupils from Ormiston Forge Academy from Years 7 to 10, took part in Mental Health Awareness Week. They discussed the various pressures that can lead to problems among young people, and the warning signs to look out for.
The Academy has also designed a Google survey for students, with the aim of exploring a bigger picture of what their worries might be. This would then provide a helpful indication of the sorts of sessions the students would find useful to help them deal with different mental health issues.
Mental Health Awareness week received a great deal of publicity on Twitter with many large charities promoting the campaign and sharing statistics of how young people today are affected.
