Ormiston Trust is a charity dedicated to improving the life chances of children and young people.
We are looking to recruit two new Directors/Trustees to our board. We are keen to hear from candidates with experience of working with children (i.e. in or with schools, children’s services etc.) and/or knowledge of the investment property market. Previous experience as a trustee is not necessary.
Based in Bell’s Yard, London WC2, board meetings are held at least four times per year. In addition, there are two sub-committees. You will likely be asked to engage in one of these committees which meets four times a year usually in the form of a teleconference call. Other contact between meetings may be necessary to make ad hoc decisions as appropriate. You will be encouraged to visit projects around the country to meet young people and see the impact of our funded work.
The role of the director is to ensure Ormiston Trust fulfils its duty to its beneficiaries through its giving of grants and that it delivers on its mission.
These are voluntary positions. Expenses for travel can be claimed.
