On September 1st, 2021 four alternative provision (AP) schools in London joined Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT).
OAT plans to build on the work done by TBAP Multi-Academy Trust that formerly ran the schools. The four schools with their new names and locations are listed below:
- Ormiston Latimer Academy- Sheperd’s Bush
- Ormiston Bridge Academy- Fulham
- Ormiston Courtyard Academy- Fulham
- Ormiston Beachcroft Academy- St John’s Wood
The associated management intervention centres of Childerley Centre, Golborne Education Centre and Westminster Education Centre and primary outreach service formerly ran by TBAP have also joined OAT.
The inclusion of these new schools marks a new step into alternative provision for OAT as these are the first alternative provision schools included in OAT. This will allow OAT to work with young people who benefit from the supportive and challenging educational experience that alternative provision provides.
OAT Chief executive, Nick Hudson stated: “We are delighted to welcome these four academies to the wider OAT family, and are excited to work closely with the staff, pupils and members of each school’s communities. OAT has always been determined to support pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and I am confident that we can build on the success, hard work and impact which the academies have already had.”
