The ‘Difference is normal’ campaign was created to spread awareness to others of different disabilities by producing a schools training package developed by Thomas Wolsey pupils. The aim of the project was to create a more respectful and tolerant society.
The students worked with pupils and parents from the Academy. The incentive was trialled in Endeavour Academy with hopes of expanding regionally and nationally. The aim was to have the work accredited by a national body, such as the PSHE Association.
The pupils also supported a charity to give them the opportunity to fundraise and volunteer for a cause they believe in, and feel empowered to be able to make a difference.
