The Community Hub projects aims to develop a community hub/shop that engages the elderly community of Shelfield and creates a rich tapestry of local heritage. The Academy has created an internet café with workshops on internet safety & understanding social media for students who have then taught the elderly community. The students have also created vlogs exploring the local heritage and history of the area. They have then gone on to sell a small amount of baked goods and fresh vegetables form the shop which has deepened their understanding of how a small business operates.
