Ormiston Trust launch brand new logo!

Over the last four years we at Ormiston Trust have concentrated on growing our online presence, tripling our Twitter followers, and becoming more digitally engaged. This has been with the aim of reinforcing the key messages of the Trust’s supported organisations – Ormiston Academies Trust, Gateway Learning Community, Birmingham Ormiston Academy and Ormiston Families.

One of the areas we began focusing on was our organisation’s identity. It was with this in mind that we decided to instruct the help of PLMR to assist us with our online communication. This led us to embark on the process of re-designing our logo and website.

Rachel Brandon, Lead Graphic Designer at PLMR shared her thoughts below about our original logo:

‘One of the main critiques of the current logo is that it doesn’t reflect exactly what Ormiston Trust do and could use some graphics that communicate working with young people, having partnerships and connecting with others.’

PLMR maintained a continuous dialogue with us over the last six months as they worked busily on numerous logo designs. Once we had some narrowed down options, we sought feedback and launched an online poll through our Twitter page asking for people’s feedback and preferences.

We have now proudly launched the final design which has had a fantastic response so far.

Our next announcement will be the launch of our brand new website at the end of next month – so watch this space!
